How Academic Technology Can Help
The Academic Technology team is here to help faculty and students make learning more engaging, both in class and online. We can coach you through multimedia projects like digital storytelling, video production, podcasting, language technology, blended learning, and collaborative writing. We also help you get comfortable with classroom technology. That includes tech hubs, projectors, document cameras, microphones, cameras, and Zoom. If something isn’t working, we’ll walk you through basic troubleshooting and share tips that save time.
We also partner with you inside Brightspace, the college’s LMS. Together we can align your course goals with clear activities and assessments. We’ll help you organize modules, set up rubrics, create quizzes, and discussions that support learning. We also help you set up and use the gradebook with confidence from creating categories, choosing weighting, setting grade schemes, and configuring release settings so students see the right information at the right time. If you want to connect outside tools for video, course content, or group work, we’ll help with that too. And once your course is running, we can review the analytics together to see what’s working and make smart adjustments.
