Preferred or Chosen First Name

To foster a campus environment that is inclusive and that encourages self-expression, Dickinson has established a policy whereby any current student or employee may use a preferred or chosen first name on campus. We strive to have this name used wherever a legal name is not necessary.


Employment & Income Verifications

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ partners with  to provide fast, secure, and accurate employment and income verifications. For instant, 24 hour a day, access to employment and income verification for all current and former employees of Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ please contact our verification service, Experian Verify at . This is the only way to verify employment or income for Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ employees.

Assistance with the Experian Verify website can be obtained by calling Customer Service at 404-382-5400 or by email to verify.support@experian.com, but no verifications may be obtained via phone, fax or email.

  • View a free, annual employment verification for accuracy

Verifier Information

Our verification partner   provides all employment and income verifications. The information is available instantly, 24 hours a day, seven days per week. You will need to have a permissible purpose for dates of employment and clearance to access wage information.

If you are not yet registered as a Experian Verify user, please visit  and sign up. The process is simple and only takes a few moments. After you have created an account, you may visit the Experian Verify website as often as needed to obtain verification reports instantly.  For certain government verifiers there is no fee for this service, and verifications requested through the Experian Verify website are fulfilled instantly. Requests from government verifiers made directly to Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ will be forwarded to Experian Verify and could take longer to complete.

Position Management

As part of our commitment to maintaining a dynamic and effective workforce, the college defines and manages each role through our comprehensive approach to position management.

Position Descriptions

A detailed description clearly outlines the essential functions and requirements for each role, providing a solid foundation for performance expectations and professional development. 

Employees can find an individual description for their role by navigating to the Employee Channel in the Gateway and then navigating to the HRS Documents section.

Recognizing the evolving nature of work, we have established a proactive process to address the need for new positions and modifications to existing roles to meet the changes in our environment and ensure that our workforce remains agile and capable of meeting emerging challenges and opportunities.
 


Position Requests

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ utilizes a position request and justification process through our online position management system. This system is used to request new positions or when requesting a reauthorization for a vacant position. Supervisors can access this system by logging into CLIQ and selecting the position management system icon under Human Resources.

Updating Existing Position Descriptions

Ä¢¹½ÊÓÆµ maintains position descriptions through our online position description management system. Supervisors seeking to edit an existing description must contact Human Resource Services for access.
